PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The CFPCM Certification is accorded by the Financial Planning Standards Board, India (FPSB) which is essentially a public private enterprise and a professional standards setting body that proactively guides the development and promotion of standards for financial planning professionals to benefit and protect the public within the country.

FPSB India is a part of leading Global Confederation - Financial Planning Standard Board (FPSB) council that promotes CFPCM certification. It is an affiliate of Financial Planning Standard Board (FPSB) based in Denver, U.S.A. The other affiliates are from the various countries- i.e. Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and U.S.A. Hence, the certification has international acceptance.

The CFPCM program is a comprehensive educational tool to equip the prospective financial planner with the requisite knowledge to be able to advise clients on meeting their financial goals. The CFPCM certification wins trust and presents opportunities worldwide.

COURSE CURRICULAM

The curriculum prescribed by FPSB consists of six modules:

  • Introduction to financial planning
  • Risk management & insurance planning
  • Retirement planning & employee benefits
  • Investment planning
  • Tax & estate planning
  • Advanced financial planning.

PROGRAM DESIGN STRUCTURE 
 

ELIGIBILITY

  • Under – Graduate(including 12th pass students) + 6 years experience in financial services
  • Graduate + 3 years work experience in financial services
  • Graduate + 5 years work experience in other services
  • For AFP (Associate Financial Planner) – experience not required
  • Challenge status path – C.A.,CFA, C.S.,ICWA, LLB, Graduate, M.Phil., Ph.d + 3 years work experience

ADMISSION
Admission at HLCPE is available round the year.

DURATION
The course can be completed in a year’s time at the earliest. However, the student must complete the course within a maximum period of 7 years as per FPSB India norms

 
ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL PLANNER - AFP
 
PROGRAM OVERVIEW

To professionalize the product based distribution management, FPSB India has established AFP Membership Program which is targeted at existing professionals who wants to upgrade their knowledge about Financial Planning without undergoing the entire CFPCM modules. The various membership options available under this option are:

  • AFP (Risk Management and Insurance Planning) for students successfully passing    
    the Examination 1.
  • AFP (Retirement Planning and Employee Benefit) for students successfully passing  
    the Examination 2.
  • AFP (Investment Planning) for students successfully passing the Examination 3.
  • AFP(Tax Planning and Estate Planning) for students successfully passing the Examination 4.
