PROGRAM OVERVIEW

HLCPE in association with CONCORDE-GLEIM CPA REVIEW has started the review classes for CPA to give you the internationally recognized Professional Qualification. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is the highest accounting certification in the U.S.A, similar to the Chartered Accountancy qualification in India.

All 55 states/jurisdictions of the U.S.A have an administrative agency (State Boards of Accountancy) that administers the laws and rules, which regulate the practice of public accounting in each state. While the 54 jurisdictions agree on using the same examination, the rules and procedures for applying to take the exam and becoming licensed to practice public accounting vary considerably. PROGRAM DESIGN STRUCTURE

DURATION
The duration of course for class schedule is only 18 consecutive Sundays. After that student can apply for the exams and send a request for the exams at your suitable time. For these 18 Sundays the timing is morning 8:30a.m. To 5:30p.m. including lunch break.

CLASS SCHEDULE
The class timings are as follows:
Session I – 08:30 -13:00 hrs (Lunch break 13:00-14:00 hrs)
Session II – 14:00 – 17:30 hrs (Breakfast and buffer lunch are provided)
HLCPE-CONCORDE-GLEIM CPA REVIEW Courses will also conduct two mock tests under an examination environment to evaluate and improve upon the capabilities of the candidates.

ELIGIBILITY
Graduates, Post Graduates with accounting background, Chartered Accountants, Inter CA’s
ICWA’s, Company Secretaries, MBA’s.

AGE LIMIT
There is no age limit for the CPA program, any person can appear for CPA exams and become CPA at any point of time.


FAQ’S
  1. What are the passing score and the period of completing the exams?
  2. The minimum passing grade in each section is 75. A candidate needs to pass all the four sections within a rolling period of 18 months. In other words, a candidate passing one or more sections(s) of the examination will be allowed a maximum of 18 months to pass all remaining sections in order to retain credit on the passed section(s).

  3. When and where are the Uniform CPA Examination held?
  4. One can take the exam from any prometric test center for his/her choice irrespective of the State Board under which he/she is register to take the exam across the United States. Hence, international candidates will have to travel to the United States to take the exam.

    The computer-based CPA examination is administered six days a week, during the first two months of each calendar quarter.

    This two-month period of each calendar quarter is called a “testing window”.

  5. What is the relevance of doing CPA in India?
  6. Indian corporate, due to listing requirements of U.S. Stock Exchanges of otherwise is increasingly requiring specialists with knowledge of the U.S. GAAP, especially CPAs.

    Other factors which led to the CPA becoming a sought after career is the emergence of India as superpower in IT and business process outsourcing (BPO). Since most of the Indian BPO is carrying out accounting, taxation and other back office activities for US companies in India in-house CPAs are in great demand in India also.

  7. What type of questions comes in the exams?
  8. In exams, there are two types of questions i.e. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Simulations.

  9. How can one apply for exams?
  10. After Evaluation Process, one can apply for the exams. The exam form will be given by us and than we will assist the student for whole procedure.

  11. What is online federal taxation exam for graduate?
  12. If you are only Graduate than also you can appear for CPA exams but you need to clear one more exam known as Federal Taxation exams. You can start your class simultaneously and as soon as you prepare for that exam you can appear for exams.

  13. Area of services provided by CPAs?
    Whether providing services directly to the public or employed by corporations or associations, CPAs can operate in virtually any area of finance including while some CPAs are generalists and offer a range of services (especially those in small practices) many CPAs specialize in just one area and do not provide all the services listed above:

    HLCPE offers a ‘Home Study Kit’ for the benefit of those candidates who are unable to attend our live classes. The Home Study Kit candidates can study in the comfort of their homes and interact ‘virtually’ with our faculty on an ongoing basis.

  17. What other books do I need to refer apart from the study material provided by Concorde-Gliem?
    The study material provided by HLCPE Concorde-Gleim comprehensively covers all the topics in the syllabus. One, therefore, doesn't need to refer to any material apart from the study material provided.


  18. Who are the faculties?
    HLCPE’S faculties are all qualified and experienced CA’s and CPA’s drawn from international accounting firms and multinationals, emphasizes on ‘understanding of the core concepts, rather than memorizing’.  Only CPA Faculty will teach the students so that they can get more information from them as they are currently practicing as well as they have passed this exam. They will give an idea about how to pass these exams.

  19. What are the mock exams? Are home study kit candidates also eligible for the mock exams?
    The HLCPE Concorde-Gliem CPA Review conducts two mock exams for each batch, one mid-term and one at the end. These exams are conducted under an examination environment. The purpose of these mock exams is not only to test the candidates' knowledge but to give the candidate an idea as to how the final exams are conducted in the USA; and to increase the seriousness of the candidates. All Home Study Kit candidates are entitled to take the exams which are hosted on the web.

  20. What are flash cards?
    Flash cards are compilations of the important concepts covered in the syllabus. The concepts, together with their explanations are given in a lucid, easy-to-understand manner and found in conveniently sized books.

    Flash cards are very important for busy professionals/executives who are constantly on the move. The easy-to-handle size of the compilation makes it extremely handy to carry and refer, even when waiting for buses/trains/planes etc.
