DIPLOMA IN RETAIL MANAGEMENT

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

One of the most highly competitive and dynamic marketing environments today is Retail. Supermarkets and Malls are taking on the aspect of theme parks rather than centers of retail trade. To succeed, survive, and make a profit, retailers today need a solid strategic plan, a competitive advantage, a unique product assortment, and state of-the-art information and distribution systems just to compete at the most fundamental level.

The retail sector India has been witnessing unprecedented change. Consumer spending has grown rapidly, with rising incomes, growth of consumer credit and increased media exposure. The structure of retail trading has shown noticeable shifts in favor of organized retailing. Information technology has also facilitated qualitative improvements in control of inventory, customer relationship management and cash flow analysis and in fact in overall improvement in profitability.

To take advantage of these changes, retail establishments are increasingly realizing the need for trained manpower in both front line operations and in the back office.
